SABC News joining us on a food delivery!

Early morning in Matsulu and a slight drizzle follows us as we are being filmed by the SABC news crew on one of our food deliveries, this time to the Mothers of toddlers.

To prevent crowding and to keep numbers small to adhere to all lockdown regulations, we requested all Moms to please leave their children at home and keep their social distance at all times when collecting their food parcels.

It was fun and a pleasure having the SABC crew and Leigh Green and her colleague from Halls with us today. Halls is the Company who kindly donated the fruit we are distributing and together with Penreach developed and printed an awesome information booklet in Siswati about Covid-19 we are now distributing. When people hear or read something in their own language, it simply makes so much more sense to them…

Day 14 and with the weekend in sight, we are off to Hazyview this morning to deliver about 100 food parcels and fruit to Moms of pre school children, thanks to Penreach whose support to school feeding programmes is of utmost importance and who made this food drop possible, to not only help to feed children but to prevent stunted growth and everything associated with stunted growth, but simply put, no child can study when all he can think of is hunger.

We deliver food at specific creches al over Mpumalanga this week, although closed due to the lockdown their little inhabitants are still being able to eat, as the little ones would normally receive a plate of food at school which is now not possible. If a child can not come to the food, the food must go to the child.

Our aim this week is to deliver 6500kg of food to persons in need.J

Not all heroes wear capes….but a whole dedicated bunch of then wear scrubs…

We thank all South Africa’s medical staff wherever they are, for your dedication to US…!
