2.2 tons of food delivered!!

2.2 tons of very needed food delivered today to 100 families living in the Brondal informal settlement.

Each of the 100 families in Brondal informal settlement received 12.5kg of maize meal we received from GB2C and a food parcel from Spar we received from The COVID Flight and sweet potatoes, nartjies, toilet paper, milk and sugar etc.

100 bags of 12.5 kg maize meal donation received, from the local Lowveld initiative, GIVING BACK 2 OUR COMMUNICTY (GB2C), that was started by Crossing Centre Nelspruit during the centre’s 16th Birthday in October last year.  Several local businesses form part of GB2C including BUCO Hardware.Buildware, Nelspruit, the Tom le Roux Family, the Omar Family, Mica Hardware, Nelspruit,

Crossing SuperSpar Nelspruit and the Visagie Groep amongst others received made this large food drop possible.

100 families is a total of +600 people that have enough food to eat for the next 2 weeks, meaning no hungry children or parents in Brondal squatter camp!!

A wonderful gift thank you, as feeding an entire squatter camp with over 600 residents takes a lot of food and we simply couldn’t do it without your help!
