2575 km and counting!

2575 km and counting!

We just arrived in Port Nolloth after crossing the Karoo on our motorbikes in 36 degree temperature…..

Feeling stiff and saddle sore we are happy to have reached the sea after spending a fantastic day in Keimoes near Uppington at an orphanage delivering presents, Woolworths in Nelspruit asked us to hand deliver to the children living at the orphanage. The kids loved the presents and had a lot of fun being taken for a ride around a vineyard on motorbike after which every child that rode on our bikes receive their official badges.

However, before we went to the orphanage we had the most awesome surprise reception at Woolworths in Uppington, complete with our name on signs on the floor for us to follow to where the surprise reception was, were we were greeted by Woolworths management and staff. No effort was spared to make us feel welcome and I even had special fruit and goodies as I am gluten intolerant…Woolworths, this we will never forget , thank you!!

The Karoo is a big and hot place and especially so if you cross it by motorbike, but for a child’s health we will carry our bikes across the Karoo if it will help……

Day 7 and counting only 13 more to go!!!
