3250 km behind us!

Traveling the 707km from Port Nolloth first to Alexander Bay at the mouth of the Orange river on the Namibia border then on to Lamberts Bay, was a tough one due to the strong side winds that want to blow you off the road if you don’t pay careful attention.

Poor Olof was totally “windverwaaid” and so were we, but we made it in one piece. After a superb nights rest we left Lamberts bay only to be met by about 40 bikes who was waiting for us in Dwarskersbos to travel a distance with us and to offer us lunch and a quick get together, before we had to push on to Cape town. Thank you so very much all you bikers that waited for us in the hot sun and for your very generous donations…!!!

Having reached Cape town, it feels that we are now turning towards home..😊

Only +- 2800km to go…..!

We visited Nazareth House in Cape town this morning, and for the folks that is not familiar with Nazareth house, it is a Palliative care centre taking care of sick and disabled children and what a beautiful property it is!!

At Nazareth house we delivered a load of nappies, ice cream, bananas, yoghurt and very special teddy bears that was hand made by the staff of the Protea Hotel in Hazyview that we brought all the way to Cape town with us.

A young man named Daniel and his friends from Melkbos collected a large quantity of soft toys for us to also hand out to the children at Nazareth house. Daniel and friends you are true Pediatric care Africa heros, thank you very much!!

A bit of rest and then in the morning we travel to the most Southern point in South Africa Cape Augulhas.
