A very lively 5 year old boy who had a below the knee amputation due to a Congenial defect, had his brand new prosthesis fitted at Barkley & Oates Orthotists in George.

He took his new leg for a “test drive” and it only requires small adjustments and will be ready for him to take home in a few days’ time.

Thank you very much Robert Alberts from Cape town, who saw the little guy first, at our premises in De Rust and referred us to Barkley & Oates who did an absolute splendid job in manufacturing his new leg.

You never realise how much a leg means until you lose it…..
