Medical Outreach!

We held a medical and dental outreach at the Vlakteplaas primary school about 60km outside of Oudtshoorn on the Willowmore road on Saturday the 8th November 2025.

We reached our 8000th patient mark that received free medical care during one of our medical outreaches, which is a remarkable achievement to us.

A quick calculation on the actual monetary value of the Medical treatment and consultation costs if we had to take these 8000 persons to private GP’s and pay their consultations, medication and tests with an average R950-00 cost to Pediatric Care Africa per patient, the cost to Pediatric Care Africa would be R7 600 000-00 (Seven million six hundred thousand rand)

Thank you very much to our volunteer GP’s Dr. Steve Mcnally of Mossel Bay, Dr. Anso Killian of De Rust and Dr. Karla Talbot of Oudtshoorn for taking such good care of our patients and the Dental team under Dr Chanel Biljohn who assisted 30 patients with their dental complaints.

Demorian and her formidable team from the Oudtshoorn Executive Mayor Johan Allers – Greater Oudtshoorn Municipality office, who kept every patient and volunteer well fed and hydrated in the 36 degrees temperature, last but definitely not least, all the volunteers who took care of all the admin, patient registration and medication dispensing from our mobile Pharmacy.
