Pancakes for surgeries!!

During the annual Innibos festival in Nelspruit the “Ytipan-Innipens” pancake making team of the NG Kerk (Dutch reformed church) in White River, baked pancakes for charity and Pediatric Care Africa was blessed as their beneficiary.

This absolutely formidable team didn’t just make pancakes, they made pancakes by the THOUSANDS during the Innibos festival from the 27th until the 30th June and made and sold a staggering 13361 pancakes during the festival resulting in a fantastic donation to us of R36188-00.

We have two children from Lydenburg and Nelspruit that is scheduled for a Ophthalmic surgery and Tonsillectomy respectively within the next few weeks in Nelspruit, and the funds received will go towards their surgeries and aftercare. One of the children scheduled for surgery have a serious other medical condition and requires special care and considerations.

Translated “Ytipan-Innipens” means “out of the pan into the tummy” and 13361 pancakes found their way out of the pan and into a tummy…..!😊
