Pediatric Care Africa, an NPO that provides surgeries countrywide and to parts of Africa, is now making a difference to the lives of children throughout the Little Karoo. Retired neurosurgeon, Dr. André Hattingh, moved the organisation from Mpumalanga to De Rust two years ago. They are changing the lives of hundreds of children in the region.

Hattingh and his team have helped over 8000 people since starting the NPO nearly 10 years ago. He holds events countrywide to raise funds for life saving surgeries. Fresh from a 7000 km charity ride on his Harley Davidson, he’ll soon be soon be taking the reigns of a donkey cart. Funds from the 500 km ride will be for the children’s ward of the Oudtshoorn provincial hospital and other projects.
