Volunteers needed and required:
If you are interested in volunteering to work with us helping children in Africa, we always need help so please get in touch with us.
- At present we require persons to assist us with fundraising in a variety of ways from placing of collection tins on shop counters to approaching big companies to assist us with monetary donations or donations of Baby food, Mosquito nets, Medical disposables, medical equipment, medicine, nappies, baby clothing etc. If you think you could be off assistance please get in touch. If for example you live in Belgium and have access to used medical equipment, please help us with it.
- We are also looking for field staff volunteers, where we work in the field or clinics/Hospitals to treat sick children and do surgeries. We are always in desperate need of qualified Medical Doctors in all specialties, nursing staff, and laboratory staff and so on. Surgeons may offer to come and work in rural Africa for a few days or weeks, or alternatively to receiving children for pro bona surgeries at your own Hospital where we transport the child to you for treatment and surgeries.
- Field staff volunteers must be academically qualified and hold appropriate registration as for example a Maxillae facial surgeon or Dermatologist, as we need to obtain temporary registration in most countries in Africa, to allow you to legally practice medicine. We arrange the registration on your behalf. The same rules apply to all medical volunteers.
There are many Countries in Africa where Yellow fever inoculations is compulsory, and all volunteers coming to work in Africa is urged to have all travel inoculations, for example Hepatitis, Rabies, Typhoid, Meningitis and so on well before arriving in Africa for your volunteer assignment.
There are areas in Africa where Malaria is prevalent and if you plan to work or visit a Malaria area, please use appropriate prophylaxes. Please consult with your travel clinic beforehand as we would like you to have a memorable experience on your assignment and not to become a patient yourself.
We invite you to get in touch with us, if you are interested in changing a life somewhere.
