Cleft lip and cleft palate (orofacial clefts) are birth defects that occur when a baby’s lip or mouth do not form properly during pregnancy.

This little baby in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, was diagnosed with NPH (Normal pressure hydrocephalus) and received hydrocephalus surgery performed by Dr. Andre Hattingh. Thanks to this surgery this little baby was given a future again.
Albino children received medical attention in Kisangani (the capital of Tshopo province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo).
We brought a three year old girl from Katoen, Msholozi, to the Nelspruit Eye Institute. She was seen by Dr. Louw, Ophthalmologist, and was prescribed corrective glasses. We obtained the corrective glasses for our little girl and she is now on her way to healthy eyes!!
