Gifted by the Nomads!

Gifted by the Nomads

Lowveld Nomads hosted their annual Andrew Mentis golf day at the prestigious Matumi Golf Lodge in Nelspruit on Sunday, and have gifted 3 local NGO’s with a very welcome and handsome amount of R150 000-00 each. The Nomads Lowveld had raised the funds throughout the year. Pediatric care Africa was one of the privileged recipients of this very generous donation and is very thankful for receiving R150 000-00 at their price giving ceremony from the Nomads and the cheque was handed over to Dr Andre Hattingh by Rudi Nel the vice-captain of the Nomads.

Two other great local NGO’s in Mbombela namely the Nelspruit Hospice and The Meyer Beukes warriors on wheels Foundation, also received a whopping R150 000-00 each from Rudi Nel at the price giving ceremony. Well done you two and you are certainly very deserving of this wonderful gift from the Lowveld Nomads.

We at Pediatric care Africa is going to use the funds to procure medical equipment to be used at outreaches and in our 4×4 medical assistance vehicle, when responding to disasters and attending medical outreaches. We will also put proper signage on our Land Cruiser and if we are lucky a closed trailer for transporting goods that can not be exposed to the elements.

We had a fabulous Sunday lunch as guest of the Lowveld Nomads and we do not know how to thank them for their hospitality and generosity.

To our Hosts Karen Bullen and Hannetjie Douglas of the Nomads Lowveld, who kept us company and entertained the whole afternoon, we enjoyed and appreciate your kindness, warmth and humour.  Thank you.

“Connie”, thank you for thinking of us. You are our Hero….
