Medical Outreach!

On Saturday the 23rd of April we conducted a medical outreach at the Magalela informal settlement 10km outside of White river on the Hazyview road. Magalela is home to roughly 360 people and we have been serving this community for over 4 years now with regular medical assistance and monthly nutrition drops to a number of children in severe food distress living there.

This Saturday was special as we had the DOH (Department of Health) accompanying us on our outreach to administer Covid vaccines to people living at Magalela. 35 willing adults were vaccinated with more sure to follow.

A medical outreach, is a very costly and labour intensive exercise and not possible without the assistance and donations from many people who volunteer their time and expertise and Companies who donated goods to us.

To all the Doctors, nurses, physios, dietitians and admin volunteers who joined us and who gave up their Saturday to help us and the children we tend to, we can not possibly thank you enough.

A special thank you to Van Heerden Pharmacy Westend Shopping Centre in Nelspruit who donated a few thousand rand worth of very needed OTC medication and nappies and SPAR Lowveld Distribution in Nelspruit for the food to feed the kids and their parents on the day.
