Very brave 11 year old!!!

Meet this young boy that was born with Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele, the most serious type of spina bifida.

He suffered a number of right femur fractures during his short life, and a Spica cast was no longer an option, due to angulation and other complications, and after a thorough examination and consultation with Dr Schoeman, a well-known Orthopaedic surgeon at Mediclinic in Nelspruit, he concluded that the only option was major surgery.

This very brave young boy received surgery to his femur in the Busamed Lowveld Private Hospital in Nelspruit and we are happy to announce that he is doing very well.
