It is with a sigh of relief that we received this very welcome and desperately needed baby food donation from GB2C.
Children are very vulnerable and may suffer from stunted growth if they do not receive enough food.
Stunting is largely irreversible and a child cannot recover height in the same way that they can regain weight. Stunted children fall sick more often, miss opportunities to learn, perform less well in school and grow up to be economically disadvantaged, and more likely to suffer from chronic diseases, that is why it is critical for our babies and toddlers to never go hungry or become malnutrition.
This very welcome baby food donation we received are from the local Lowveld initiative, GIVING BACK 2 our COMMUNITY (GB2C), that was started by Crossing Nelspruit during the centre’s 16th Birthday in October last year. Several local businesses form part of GB2C including BUCO South Africa, the Tom le Roux Family, the Omar Family, Caltex Mpumalanga North, Valencia Wholesalers, Valencia – The Home Of VBike, Crossing SuperSpar Nelspruit, and the Visagie Groep amongst others.
Our babies matter…!
