Cold weather is closing in!
Cold weather is closing in!
Every year for the past 5 years Pediatric care Africa handed out hundreds of blankets to persons without anything to keep them warm through the winter.
After we picked up the blankets from Valencia stores in Nelspruit we first had to deliver some blankets to two other NGO’s who could not collect their own blanket donation from the Valencia stores themselves. We delivered 30 blankets at Bettie’s Haven Orphanage in Nelspruit and 569 blankets to Feed The Need White River.
It is important that local NGO’s help each other where and whenever we can, as we fully believe in the principle of Altruism.
With threatening rain clouds, we delivered 60 blankets to Katoen uitreik NPO REG. 214-413 as many persons needed blankets and rushed to get the rest under cover and out of the rain.
Blankets will be distributed to Magalela during our next and pending outreach to that informal settlement and Brondal, Vark plaas and Upper Msholozi to name a few places.
We wish to thank Crossing Nelspruit Centre, the centre that is the #myheartbeat of Nelspruit, that continues to supports Pediatric Care Africa and the on-going nutritional and healthcare outreaches done by Dr Andre Hattingh, the Pediatric Care Africa Team and the many medical professionals and volunteers involved.
Crossing Shopping Centre in Nelspruit, thanks to your generosity, hundreds of persons that will sleep warmer this winter and for that gift we thank you from the bottom of our hearts…!
